Frequently Asked Questions
For anyone interested in our product
- Q
- How will chemical costs change?
- A
-
Implementing the Aqua System Controller reduces chemical costs by an average of 50% compared to manual procedures.
Load following PID control enables high-precision liquid control, preventing the excess chemical injections of the conventional method and significantly reducing chemical use.
- Q
- Does it improve production stability?
- A
-
Implementing the Aqua System Controller eliminates lot-to-lot variations and long-term variations, enabling stable production through automatic operation.
- Q
- Will product quality improve?
- A
-
Implementing the Aqua System Controller enables repeated, consistent quality.
- Q
- Will defects be reduced?
- A
-
Variations due to defect etching are drastically reduced, and defects from the previous process are brought into focus.
- Q
- Can it handle high-definition fine patterns?
- A
-
We have had success with printed circuit board-related thick boards, flexible boards, and COF boards, and even high-definition products.
- Q
- How is the concentration of the etching solution determined?
- A
-
Our company and engineers will figure it out for you.
Criteria such as high-definition products, productivity, and stability are considered when cross-matching chemicals. Adjustments are made safely and speedily.
- Q
- How much are chemicals used?
- A
-
If you give us the production conditions, it will be calculated using copper chloride and iron chloride. Accurate values are obtained through actual empirical values.
- Q
- Are there significant benefits to be had from implementing it?
- A
-
You recover costs in chemical fees and management costs alone in one year. Furthermore, the benefits of introduction are high considering that it enables product quality, stable production, and early start-up.
- Q
- Does it work with old etching machines?
- A
-
It can be set up, and if you let us know the machine and production conditions, we will propose an appropriate technique.
- Q
- Is it possible to increase the etching speed?
- A
-
Yes, it's possible.
It can be raised or lowered by cross-matching chemical concentrations.
- Q
- Does it improve productivity?
- A
-
Implementing the Aqua System Controller eliminates variations in production capacity and improves productivity through automation. With automated production 365 days a year, productivity will increase by about 20% to 30% per year.
- Q
- What about after-sales service?
- A
-
With a consistent support system from implementation to after-sales service, we help everyone to work in a safe, reliable environment.
- Q
- Can you provide maintenance internationally?
- A
-
We are globally active.
Currently, we have service sites in China, Taiwan, and South Korea, while other areas are directly supported from Japan.
- Q
- Do you provide consultations about equipment installation?
- A
-
We thoroughly investigate the cause of issues at work sites and propose solutions that improve production efficiency.
Those who are already using our products
- Q
- How can I increase the etch factor?
- A
-
- First of all, stabilization of the liquid quality is essential as one of the factors to increase the etch factor.
- Increase the etching solution capacity. (For CuCl2 (cupric chloride), increase the HCl setting. For FeCl3, increase the FeCl3 setting. But since the speed increases, one has to check the uniformity.)
- Change the etching solution from CuCl2 to FeCl3. But the costs will increase, so we will calculate the new cost.
- Next, we would like to hear from you about etching machine characteristics and respond.
- Finally, we jointly check the quality from the previous process to the finished quality and clear them one by one.
- Q
- How can I reduce chemical costs?
- A
-
For CuCl2
- Lower H2O2 concentration -> H2O2 use will be reduced.
- Increase the specific gravity -> The waste liquid collection fee will be reduced. (Valid for offices with waste liquid collection fees.)
For FeCl3
- Lower the FeCl3 concentration and increase the HCl concentration.
- Increase the specific gravity -> The waste liquid collection fee will be reduced like with CuCl2. (Valid for offices with waste liquid collection fees.)
- Q
- What are the benefits of changing from CuCl2 to FeCl3?
- A
-
- Increase the etching speed by 10 to 20% over the present by adjusting the settings.
- The etch factor increases. (It goes up about 1 to 2 compared to copper chloride.)
- The environment of the etching equipment is improved. (Since the HCl concentration is low, the scattering of corrosive gas is reduced.)
- The foam of organic additives is decomposed by iron chloride, so foam is no longer produced.
- Q
- What are the features of the new controller?
- A
-
Operability
- The graph function allows you to check the changes in concentration over the day and adjust the amount of chemical solution quickly and easily.
- Easy to operate, easy to understand, and usable by anyone.
Safety and stability
- The load following control limits the range of concentration fluctuations, which stabilizes productivity and quality.
- It is reliable because the concentration is stable.
- The screen lock function allows the administrator to manage setting value changes. The lock function ensures safety and prevents malfunctions.
- Communication speed is fast and stable.
- The range of concentration fluctuations is reduced and the variation between lots is reduced.
Productivity
- Since the LAN function can be used to store a year's worth of data, comparison with past data is possible.
- The correction value is displayed digitally, and you can see at a glance the size of the correction.
